The concept for winter Shoe Shine 4.0 was to unit with Nike and have a custom shoe show case featuring professional snowboarder Danny Kass Nike Zoom Force 1 boot. Let me tell you, when I received the boot, I was going nuts... I was even thinking about rocking them my self (true story)
If you pay attention to snowboarding at all, you most likely noticed that noticeably missing from the lineup was the signature Boot of Danny Kass. Nike has created a uniquely styled boot for their premier boarder, who is said to be the first snowboarder to attempt a 9000. Nike has put Danny through vigorous training to prepare for the 50 rotations needed to complete the spin. They’ve even determined that in order to complete the 9000, it will need to be done on the moon.
Appropriately enough, Danny’s new signature moon boots have now been unveiled. Taking some classic sneaker elements, Nike and Danny have created one of the most unique snowboard boots to date. Colors include metallic silver, white and black, as well as orange accents. Aside from the unique colorway and Kass specific elements, this boot is set apart from the typical Zoom Force 1 with the addition of a second tongue. It also features an icy clear sole, which will hopefully aid Danny in his attempt at the monumental feat, the 9000. With these boots, and the support of Champ the chimp, anything is possible.
Look for these limited edition boots at your local dealer soon, and check out the 9000 announcement video on the Nike Snowboarding Danny Kass micro-site.
